Why it’s not recommended to use port-forwarding:

1. It’s hard to set-up and many pre-requisites are needed.
2. Communication (including video and audio) is not encrypted
3. It’s not reliable - if any network settings changes, it stops to work
4. Your network may become vulnerable to attacks from the internet
